Betsy Bardi

Founding Principal, Allied ASID

"Interior design is not just a luxury. It's a necessity."

BETSY BARDI

Founding Principal, Allied ASID

When Betsy founded Bardi Designs in 2008 it was based on the belief that your environment affects everything about your mood, your ability to work, and your ability to relax. Your interior design is also a personal and creative reflection of you as an individual.

Betsy knew from a very young age that Interior Design was where she thrived and what she wanted to pursue in life.  She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from East Carolina University in 2003. Over the last 20 years, she gained industry experience by working in many facets of the interior design world. These included private firms, design centers, showrooms, and retail. All of these paths led her to establish her own custom residential interior design firm where there are no restrictions.

Betsy believes there is strength in team collaboration and creating unique design solutions for our clients is a shared responsibility within the firm. In a firm atmosphere, we have access to anything in the world that we need to complete a project. We strive to listen to our client’s needs and translate those needs into something beautiful that they love. Her goals within Bardi Designs are to please the client, stretch them a bit, and present new and exciting ideas they may not have come up with on their own.

Through accurate space planning, architectural detailing, pre-construction, and the use of scale and color, Betsy and the Bardi Designs team strive to create a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

In her free time, Betsy loves to spend time with her family which includes her husband and her two children. She also enjoys travel, coffee, cooking, and exploring new and exciting destinations for Design Inspiration. International Travel has a heavy influence on a lot of her Interior Design.

Mary-Lynn Reuter

Lead Interior Designer

Mary-Lynn Reuter

Lead Interior Designer

Mary-Lynn has been immersed in art, building, and design from a young age. Her passion for infusing artistic flair into the world of interior design has resonated deeply with her clients, who appreciate her ability to think outside the box. Known for her thoughtful use of color, texture, organic materials, and unexpected design elements, Mary-Lynn skillfully blends multiple styles to create truly personalized spaces.

Her collaborative approach often transforms client relationships into lasting friendships, as she partners with homeowners to turn their house into the home they've always dreamed of. Originally from the Twin Cities, Mary-Lynn studied Fine Arts at the University of Minnesota and Human Resources at the College of Saint Catherine.

Before fully diving into the design world, Mary-Lynn worked in the corporate sector, eventually founding and leading a retail design and build company in the Twin Cities. A move to Hilton Head Island for a quieter life turned into a new adventure when building her own custom home inspired others to seek her expertise. This led her to become Founder and President of an award-winning design-build firm in the Lowcountry, where she continued to grow her design capabilities.

Over a decade ago, she and her husband relocated to Raleigh, where she joined another award-winning custom home design-build firm. There, she managed everything from hinge selections to furnishings, bringing harmony and intention to each project. Mary-Lynn believes a home is deeply personal—a reflection of its inhabitants—and should be a place where every detail is meaningful and every space brings joy.

Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis, spending time in her studio creating art in various styles, quilting, and gardening. Mary-Lynn and her husband are proud parents of four adult children and grandparents to nine cherished grandchildren.
